    Kyocera FS-3900DN firmware

Hello, I bought second-hand Kyocera FS-3900DN printer. It has quite old firmware:
    System Firmware: 2F9_3000.008.002Engine Firmware: 2F9_1000.011.001

I'm looking for newer one, but I can't find it online. Could anyone help me and upload firmware to Zippyshare/Sendspace?

Why do you think you need it? I have worked on hundreds no problem. That is a quality machine. We still refurb and sell them. You can get anything you need at precisionroller.com

      Hello,
I have found somewhere PDF with release notes, and there was newer firmware versions with bugs repaired. I like to have latest firmware in my equipment.

I'm probably going to take some criticism for this but ... what the hell?

IMHO any level of firmware that functions is a GREAT level of firmware. The odds are even that you will introduce as many new bugs with the new firmware as are fixed.

When you have a very specific issue that needs fixing, and there is a level of firmware that fixes it, Wonderful. When you don't have an issue, then the current level is perfect. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I think the man is correct in updating the firmware and as rightly stated kyocera releases a pdf file with all the firmware fix discription. Gone are the days when you had to worry about firmware causing machine to freeze when updating, or firmware failures rending the machine useless as there are now recovery methods. I work in a shop environment and every machine that leaves there gets the latest update and we do lots of firmware per week. Have not had a single issue with firmware updates in any brand that we service in the last couple of years.
But as the saying goes, if it ain't broke, then leave it alone. Some techs are still afraid of firmware updates, as in the past you could loose boards easily at costly expense. If you call any tech support, the first question asked is did you update the firmware. When warranting kyocera products you must have the latest firmware level in your service mode printouts.
To each his own in this issue, but my input is as above.
