TASKAlfa 400Ci does not want to copy!

    [Misc] TASKAlfa 400Ci does not want to copy!

    Hello All,

    Im a french guy, First time I come to this forum, thanks for your energy and sympathy to help others!!!

    I bought this day a TaskAlfa 400Ci.
    After few repairs regarding the optical unit (C3300 error), which was only sliders on the optical mirrors that are broken (and AGC cannot work well)

    Right now, the copier is almost working but:
    - Scannnig OK ( previsualisation)
    - Printing OK with Status page, and from PC thru network
    - 4 Toners OK, Prints are quite good quality.

    But 3 things not normal:
    - I cannot be able to copy. (the display panel beeps 2 times at each button I click.)
    NOt able to copy, not able to send by email, not able to save in local....
    - Button Help is not working: I do not have any Help
    - Maintenance code is not working!!

    I tryed factory reset from UI, From Web interface without any success, more or less every tact switch on the display panel sound to me beep beep, and no copying action (can change parameters..)

    I woul like to know if this Printer can be locked?
    Do you have any Idea to unlock it?
    I cannot found results on this problem on the Internet....

      A key is stuck down or you have a bad operation panel. Some times disassembly and cleaning of the unit will help.

          from your browser input the ip address of the machine and input default password admin00

          Basic > Security > Device Security > General
          This page allows you to restrict access from the operation panel or USB host device. In
          addition, an explanation about each security setting is displayed.
          Item Description
          Lock Operation
          Panel
          Restricts access from the operation panel. With some
          models, this setting is irrelevant if the user has logged in as
          the Administrator.
          When it is set to Lock (Block), use of the System menu on this
          machine, registration in and editing of the Address Book and
          Box, use of the Stop key, and cancellation of jobs are forbidden.
          When it is set to Partial Lock, use of the System menu on
          this machine and registration in and editing of the Address
          Book and Box are forbidden.
          When it is set to Unlock, use of all keys is permitted.

              Hi, Thank you for both answers, I double check on the Keyboard, and it seems to be that....
              While pressing on the casing, I can avoid the bad contact and can make copies...
              So I will dissassemble, and clean the keyboard, and found the bad contact or shortcut on the keys...

                  Thanks for your help, the copier works well!

                  The problem was the distance between plastics and tact switch in the keyboard, on certain key, it can be pushed every time...
                  I put small washers and it is OK now.
                  There is 0,5mm distance between tact switch and plastic buttons, and all is Fine!

                  Every feature works now ( Maintenance code, Help etc..)
