    KM5050 fuser in a 520i

I see different part numbers but I only had a 5050 fuser and installed it in a 520i and it works so far.
anyone know if they are interchangeable?

Many of the parts in the 5050 are the same as in the 420i/520i. If you dig down through the sub-parts list you will see that most are the same, most importantly the connection harnesses are the same. There are differences but a careful analysis will show many of the assemblies are interchangeable. In our case it is usually the reverse, putting 420i/520i parts in a 5050.

I seem to recall getting a C6xxx when I tried this. I expect that it won't work. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

So far it is working I will keep an eye out for the code and swap it out if it pops up.
