Colored spots on print (Taskalfa 250ci)

    Dear all,

I am still using a second-hand Kyocera TaskAlfa 250ci. For a couple of days I have been experiencing colored spots on my prints. The spots are either reddish oder yellow and do not follow a certain pattern on the page. Sometimes there are no spots on the page and on the next page I have four of them. Sometimes they are only red, sometimes only yellow, sometimes both (see attachment).

What is wrong here? Is it the developer unit of magenta and yellow that I need to replace?

    Thank you in advance!

If it repeats at 38mm intervals then its the primary charge unit for that particular drum.

If the spots are truly random, it's overtoning of the developer of that particular color. Essentially the developer has lost some of it's triboelectric effect, and does not hold the toner in the spherical orientation around each ferrite particle. Replace the developing unit of the affected color.

I see magenta and yellow affected. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
