    KM2050

Called about trouble with cardstock found upon servicing that drawer 2 was not recognized. Cleaned and reseated connections on the pcb of 2nd drawer and drawer started so. Turned copier off to move and after turning back on error C0420 popped up. Book says first paper feed??? Both trays are considered 1st of??? Is problem most likely in pcb of draws 2 or in copier. No noise was heard . Thanks!!!

It sounds like you checked and cleaned connections on 1 of the boards.
There are 2 pcbs for the drawers. The drawer main, which is the bigger one located in the center of the machine, lower back.
And the drawer pcb located to the right and a little higher than the drawer main and is a smaller pcb.

I would check all connections to and from these 2 boards and the wires going from them to the sensors and switches of the drawers

Check outlet for proper voltage and grounding. I had one that wasn't wired correct and C0420 codes popped up every single day until they had the outlet rewired.

The C0420 is a communication error for the PF410 extra tray. It could be the PF board on the extra tray, or the main board of the copier. It certainly can't hurt to check the power quality. It sounds like it doesn't clear though. Correct? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Have you removed the drawer to make sure there is not a stray sheet of paper behind the drawer and blocking the connector? We have even seen situations where a sheet of paper has gotten behind the drawer and the customer closes the drawer creates paper shards that are forced into the connector causing the code. It does not take much. Hope this helps
