    FS c8025MFP copying blank output.. print from pc is good quality.

    Hi guys,

    this machine is the one with clean slit glass... was able to remove the clean slit glass by removing main board and clean it and re-seat memory and re-seat all connectors.. now that it is working my problem now is when i'm copying on adf and flat bed glass it just print blank while printing using computer is having a good quality print out.

    any idea that causing the problem? was thinking about the scanning board but i dun have spare to test it.


    any inputs will highly appreciated.. thanks

      My guess is that you did not properly seat the ribbon cable from the scanner to the main PWB.

      Go back and re-check every connector that you touched the first time. It's very easy to damage the ribbon cables. Make sure that none of the conductors are peeling away from the backing.

      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          I'm confused as to why you removed the main board...are you possibly thinking about the OP panel? That said , I wonder if the scanner is not homing in under the scanner glass and all that the scanner is reading is the white plate.

              If the scanner were locked down or just unable to move you should get a C3100 error. =^..^=

                  Sorry for confusing you, actually the main problem of the machine is only clean slit glass message, but to no avail of the procedural solutions in taking place to remove the message to re-appear didn't solved it... so my last resort is to clean-up the main PWB, re-seat all connectors and everything. the message is gone.. but 2nd problem arise and that's what it is now.. blank result on copy with good print quality in pc printing. im pretty sure its homing 'coz the manual lock is unlock.

                  @Cat... will try to re-seat again and will double check the open lead of the flat cables connectors.

                      Hi All

                      Sorry for my confusion...I misread your question, I thought that you were getting blank from ADF, glass OK...I must be getting old .
                      So in addition to Blackcats suggestion, any possibility that a ribbon connector is upside down?
