    Kyocera - Fleet Services

Trying to setup this Fleet Services and got to the point where it says you are suppose to put in the URL. I know what a URL is but what URL is it taking about? He did not explain it very well in the video.

    Thanks

Connecting to KFS is spotty as hell. It works less than half the time.

You can try https://rfs-us.kyocera.biz or https://23.101.190.57 You'll need the access code, however. They're having a LOT of trouble getting it to connect. TDRS connected much more reliably. Hopefully they'll dial this in soon, because currently; I'd say about 75% of the time I attempt to activate it using the correct credentials I get a can't connect to the server message.

    Good luck!

When we try "You can try https://rfs-us.kyocera.biz or https://23.101.190.57 You'll need the access code," all we ever get is a OK in the left upper corner.

That's because you're putting the URL into a browser. The URL is entered into the remote services section of the Command Center of the copier. Go to the remote services page in Command Center and enter the URL there along with your access code to register the machine.

Go to remote services. Put your info in, if it does not connect. Go to the web page of the machine and put in the or a dns info and then try again. It works 99% of the time. I have a couple of machines that are being blocked somehow.

kuby great that your trying to help out.

When logged on to kfs youll first have to go to the administration tab

click on your company name on the right and select add to add a customer

after adding the customers, youll have to navi to customer created and webaddress and access code should be there

now log on to mfp via command centre or just turn on remote services, select settings and enter web address and access code

if you still cant login on with machine, ensure that the client dns server setting is inputted in the machine and that should solve the problem.

Kuby, what are you trying to do? Are you trying to access the administrative functions on KFS on your pc or are you trying to register a machine to KFS?

If you are trying to access the administrative functions of KFS on your pc, you need to go to https://fs-kyocera.biz
You will need your user name, password, and access code that was provided to your dealership.

If you are trying to register a machine into KFS, you need to turn Remote Services on, restart the network and then input https://rfs-us.kyocera.biz into the URL and the access code generated by KFS into the access code field (either at the device panel or through the Command Center)

I'm still trying to understand what part of the process you are struggling with. Are you referring to the process of setting up your KFS account or are you trying to register devices to your account? I would definitely download the KFS setup guide as a resource, also Kyo hotline support is well versed (they even have a specialist ... WHAAAAAT?!?) in setup and configuration of KFS. Specify the part of the process and I'm sure the peanut gallery will be a bit more helpful.

And to the "tech" that indicated KFS is spotty and unreliable, you are clearly not doing it right ... try the other end of the football.
If you phrase your inquiry properly, you will get the answers you seek...

Good Luck ... You'll need it! HAHAHA!

                        I kid, I kid

Fleet Services is VERY stable, I only have a few pieces of equipment that I cannot get onto KFS. I believe there are network security protocols that are blocking me on those machines.

Thanks got it working a little bit from the replies on this site, I can see some devices. Been watching the video and trying to learn about it. It talks about non-Kyocera devices. Have a customer that has Kyocera and Canon copiers. The Kyocera's show up but not the Canons. How do I get them to show up? They are networked, printing and scanning to email, computers, and faxing machines. Have tried putting the IP address in the Search setting but it finds nothing. When we click on the Devices it finds the Kyocera copiers and printers, the canon printers, and HP printers but not the Canon copiers? These are the Image Runners series.

                          Thanks

In order to get off-brand equipment to report (possibly with limited capabilities) you will need to have the "gateway" software on a 32bit windows pc on their network. you should be able to find instructions for setting up the gateway in the KFS setup guide.

Hope this helps & congrats on getting KFS to work, we find ways to improve our efficiency on a daily basis with our fleet reporting to us.

Thanks I seem to have everything working on our end. Problem now is how to make the devices on customers sites show up on our end. Have put them under our Group. Have send the email to their server and loaded the Gateway and XML file. Still nothing.

                              Thanks
