    Ecosys FS2100DN fuser reset

    Anyone know how to reset a fuser error? There is nothing I can see in the manual!

    Thanks

    There is none. Need to replace fuser for codes, then it will go away.

        It's very technical: Like most HP's just fix your fuser and power cycle, and the fuser code just goes away. =^..^=
        If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          I didn't want to go spending money on a new fuser without confirming whether there was a reset to try first.

            Hi.

            You can try the following using Printer Utility.

            !R! LFRE F,0;exit;

              Hi there.
              Might be a bit late, but here goes anyways.

              Fuser error on this range - there is no way to automatically reset this error (like U906). Had couple of those fuser errors in the past (ususally occured after a power failure or so). You can (as temp measure) remove the thermostat and reset it manually (shake it gently and listen if you hear any sound coming from it - it should have a sound. If nothing then you need to manually reset it (tap it quite hard on a hard surface with the dark side to the bottom (just dont bend or break the connectors)). The force will make it release.) You can then go ahead and order a thermostat (unless it is caused by something else like fuser lamp)(actually it is advised to test the lamp before disassembling the heat roller and so on)
              (I've been told it is best to replace the thermostat after its locked once - else you might return to reset it more frequently)(but i did a little experiment at a client and only reset it manually without replacing it - dunno if it was dangerous but it still worked for a long time)

              Hope this helps
