Has anyone seen a 3010 produce black copies and then go back to regular copies. Im thinking primary charge like the old wire primary machines that gave so much trouble, but if I am off I would like to know before I head back there in the morning.

Re: CS 3010 black copies
Loss of black primary charge can cause solid black images. A short in any of the primary charge or developer biases can cause the HVT to shut down ... and get the same result. The background color will usually point you in the right direction though.
It's not like the old days where a blown halogen exposure lamp was the most common cause. The new Xenon or LED scan lamps never seem to fail. Even then, fluorescent and xenon lamps will code out long before you ever get a black copy (shading adjustment or lamp intensity codes). =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: CS 3010 black copies
my only recent memory of black page is from 3010 machine... it was the charge shorting out. The roller looked perfectly fine very little buildup, only a few 10's k pages. Maybe this model has weaker HV capacity?Comment
