    Anti- Counterfeiting, Document protection

I have a Customer that is having issues with scanning (scan to folder) Checks and documents to folder ,
Machine is a Taskalfa 3501i . When scanning Checks to folder the Machine displays a message to TURN OFF MACHINE AND TURN BACK ON
without sending the scans to the folder.
this customer has been scanning these materials in this machine since installation, but recently this issue has started occuring and Customer is becoming frustrated. any suggestions ,Ideas , or Solutions would be helpfull !

What "ntbann" said. This is a known and common "problem"

      Cheers.

You might try downgrading the firmware a level or two. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Just for further insight into this type of counterfeit protection; It's called The EURion Constellation. Some implementations are quite sneaky, as seen in the USD$20 example on the wiki link.
