Jam on power up but no paper

I have a 3500i that says jam on power up but cannot find any paper anywhere. I cleaned as many sensors I could see. Didn't have the manual with me and will be going back, but can anyone point me in the right direction?

Wild guess Duplex2 sensor dirty from toner circulating behind transfer belt or one of the feed unit sensors covered in dust.

All other sensors are fairly exposed.

reset sim 903 and make it do it again and see what code comes up in 903 0r 904. check sim 251 and see if feed tires need to be replaced. after a jam go into sim 31 and see if one of the sensors are showing a problem with it. last check the mylar on that tray to see if it is bent or defomed

What I have also seen is the duplex actuator, which is behind the little door by the bypass, is missing. Knocked off. Look in that little door to see if it is there.
