What do you see when it jams, what have you tried? (the service manual has an entire section dedicated to how to determine and remedy jams)
... ugh ... J81 references the finisher entry sensor either staying on too long or not coming on after the correct interval. I would use U241 (checking the operation of the switches of the finisher) to see if the paper entry sensor in your finisher (the first sensor in the paper path going in to the finisher) is operating properly, likely a problem with that sensor, the harness that connect that to the main finisher pwb, or the main finisher pwb itself.
If you phrase your inquiry properly, you will get the answers you seek...

I would also check the exit assembly in the 5050. We have one that has just turned 3 million and are on our third exit assembly. The heat from the fuser dries out the rubber rollers causing them to slip and not get the page to the finisher entrance within the assigned timing window, especially if you are doing face down or double sided. Just cleaning the rubber rollers may buy you a few days, but eventually you will need to replace the exit assembly

Let's see what's in the database:
Misfeeds (Jam J41, J42, J46, J81, J87) accordianned in the fuser. Outer fuser exit guide has a broken spacer tab, leaving no space for paper to pass at the front. Replace the outer fuser exit guide (302GR25371). Be cautious with pressure roller claw springs. They deform easily.
Misfeeds (Jam 81) between the copier exit rollers and the stapling tray. Due to unevenness of the floor surface the DF-710 does not latch completely. Adjust the finisher height adjusting screw accessible through the finishers right door.
Misfeeds (Jam 81) halfway out of output tray C, regardless of which tray is selected. On DF-710. Upper inlet guide is unsnapped from the from swivel, and consequently stuck in the down position. Remove finisher inlet assy to re-fit upper inlet guide.
Misfeeds (Jam J81, J87) paper is misrouted to the saddle stitcher when it should exit to tray B. DF-710. Feedshift gate 2 is damaged at the rear solenoid linkage. Excessive customer roughness? Gate operation can be tested in sim U240 Finisher Operation > Finisher Sol > Sub Tray L Sol. Key top door to view operation. Repair or replace feedshift gate 2 (3030JY24160, fig 12-12).
Misfeeds J81, J87 an the finisher entrance. Entrance mylars are out of position. Re-position entrance mylars. Educate customer to remove paper jams in the direction of paper travel.
Clicking noise from finisher. On DF-710 Pre-Dec 2007. Split pinion gear 19T on the paper entry motor (PEM). Test for noise in sim U240 > Finisher Motor > Car MT M. Replace gear 19T (303H322131).
On the Voyager and VoyagerE series you might get J81 jams because the OEM stand or PF710 tended to collapse under the weight of the machine, changing the machine exit height. The FalconIII's were considerably lighter, and did not crush the stand/PF-710. =^..^=
