    Re: F248

Hi, you mentioned experimental firmware, can you expand on this please?

I have been on the Kyocera site for Taska;fa 6052ci and the current firmware is 2017/10/16 which can still show this error.

Any advice I would be grateful for please.

"Experimental" firmware just sounds so questionable! Just checked Kyocera's US Web site (KDACentral) and v3.00a for the TA6052ci was posted on 1/10/2018 to fix the F248 issue.

Any one else having success with this new firmware?

I have a customer with a 6052ci, latest mac driver installed, latest firmware installed, and they're still getting F248 (and now F566 after the firmware update) intermittently. Also, I created profiles for them after installing the updated driver. Even when using the profiles they claim sometimes the printer just ignores commands it was given (for example, it doesn't fold and staple).

Today, I'm going to reload firmware and attempt to switch the emulation to PCL and see if that helps. As i understand you lose some functions doing this. Hopefully it won't disable too many options as I've never attempted it.

It would be nice if MAC wouldn't fix things that aren't broken. Seems like every update requires some sort of patch or breaks some printing functions in certain programs.

            Hello,
Triumph Adler announces new firmware for this problem for Avril
I only have a patch for 2552 and 3252 it works very well.
            we must be patient.
            Do not lament,
