Kyocera M2535dn Paper jam before fuser.

Hi guys, I need your help with this one

I have a strange issue with a Kyocera M2535dn where the paper jams before the fuser and the page folds in half.
I have tried replacing the fuser, drum, rollers and cleaning inside the machine but problem still persists.

This machine only has 50k prints. This issue is intermittent and I dont know what else to try. Hopefully you guys could help.

    Thanks

try blowing out the sensors in that are.

when you say before the fuser... it doesn't make it into it?
sounds like there is something stopping/blocking paper movement

      Hi Phil

Yes the paper does not make it into the fuser. It's like the paper does a loop at the fuser guide and folds in half. I checked for any obstructions but theres nothing and cleaned the area out.

I first suspected it was a fuser issue, so I swapped out with a new one but the issue still occurs.

sometimes those fusers can get placed wrong.. make sure it is seated properly make sure your image unit is seated properly also.

have you tried it with fresh paper? sometimes wet/damp paper can make it curl up or down. if it still does it take paper out of tray and flip it over.

I made sure fusers were installed correctly and flush, tried with new paper and a cassette just to make sure that it was not the paper. Issue still occurs if using the MP tray as well.

I even swapped out the transfer which doesn't help.

where EXACTLY is the problem occurring?

            before transfer?

            after?

is there image on the page?

Before fuser, after transfer. Image forms fine, just that it does not get to fusing. When I remove the drum that's how the paper sits, please see pics.

it appears whatever drives the page from that point has failed.

There are no strange sounds. This problem is intermittent as the copier sometimes worked perfectly. There seems to be a problem with the fuser being driven.

I had something similar on an 1135. Was hardened generic toner built up before fuser entrance. I ran my metal 6inch ruler to scrape off

we've recently replaced the fuser drive gear and shaft, a bad fuser ripped out the gear core and broke the shaft. caution, pretty involved disassembly.

Are you using original fuser roler?

No obstructions on that fuser guide.

Yes original, even tried with a spare original fuser.

                              Good day sir!

I had the same problem with my M2535DN Copier recently, so while researching on how to fix jam before roller i came across your post, when i view the attachments you posted it was the same issue with my eco-sys copier. so i don't know if you were able to fix yours.

mine started jaming when i was photocopying some documents, when i diagnosed mine i noticed the fuser upper roller got damaged so i went to purchase the exact same roller and after installing the roller i taught it is going to work fine but it didn't. it is still jaming.

pls if you were able to resolve yours, i want you to share how you were able to fix yours.

                              i will await your reply.

                              thanks
