    [Dead] Locking up Firmware Upgrades

    Hey everyone,
I have a couple of machines that have locked up while upgrading from the new KFS system. Tech support has said to and I quote "wait it out". Of course this isn't an option in a busy office.
Has anyone else had this happen and if so, how did you fix it.

symptom is a black screen that says firmware with no other information.

    thanks

, It sometimes takes 30-45 minutes to do an update through KFS. Depends on how busy the systems are. If it's a busy office that can't be down, update overnight or wait until you are onsite with a thumbdrive.

What model is it you are having issues with.

Yes I tried to do one over night and it failed, but the machine would not work at all after that. Had the customer manually restart the machine and it was locked up. Had to go in and cancel the update and go to their office (1 hour drive) and flash it with a flash drive.
