    OP originally said he couldn't copy and someone asked him to print a status page. He replied he can't print anything and the focus since that comment has been on printing.
    OP says it doesn't have a network cable or fax and he's trying to copy. He hasn't mentioned ping and it seems he's not connected to a network or trying to print (based on his comments so far).

    "Preparing to print" comes up at the bottom of the panel while the machine is warming up and getting ready for use.

    Maybe the fuser isn't reaching "ready" temp, but isn't low temp enough to fault out. Fusers have given me issues in the past without a fault code being generated.

          i had a similar issue. turned out to be the main charger not seated correctly.

            Have you tried unplugging the fuser in order to generate an error...Perhaps the box is in a loop and when resetting the error may clear this or provide a clue .
