I have a Kyocera Ecosys M3550 False "Add paper to cassette" Message. I have been going through the manual and haven't found the solution as of yet. It appears that the ,paper in tray, sensor is there. Any ideas would be very helpful... Is this a common problem...

Re: Kyocera Ecosys M3550 False "Add paper to cassette (Tray 1)" Message
You'll need to pay a little closer attention to exactly what's on the display, like "Load A4 paper.", or "Load Heavy Paper." You'll get that message any time the paper size or media type does not match what's available.
I had this conversation with a Toshiba enduser recently:
"Why is it always telling me to load paper to the bypass? I want to use the tray."
"You've got LT paper in all four trays. What do you suppose would happen if you tried to print a legal sized document?"
" Uh ... I don't know."
"I do. It will as you to load that sized paper ... to the bypass."
For endusers with this degree of expertise it is often useful to default the print driver to "Fit-To-Page". In this way they get some kind of a print every time, without any excessive amount of thinking. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Adding to Blackcat's post ( which covers the vast majority of "add paper" errors, BTW )- My question is can you verify the tray is lifting? We need just a bit more info about the nature of the question posed.

Thanks for the reply's !! I'm new to these machine and ya'lls feedback really helps.. Turned out to be the paper empty actuator arm had flipped around in it's holder and was stuck as to not reach the sensor. Sure looked like it was working correctly until I got in there and started looking... Thanks again for all the help !!! I sure am grateful for this forum !!Comment
