I would be very surprised that is 100% true, given that to the best of my knowledge , Kyocera has Zero experience and knowledge base with inkjet engines , especially high speed ones.

Kyocera has been making high speed inkjet print heads for years., for commercial printing.

I've heard the same thing here in the uk.Supposedly using the Ricoh Charis machine.Also heard they are launching a 150 cpm mono inkjet developed themselves

just got info from the show in Orlando, they are rebadging the ricoh production black and white 96ppm, 111ppm, 136ppm, the kyocera production inkjet is all kyocera, 150 ppm, but they had it roped off, fully configured it is 27 ft long and weighs over 4000 lbs

InkJest delayed Kyocera

The 100cpm kyocera inkjet machine was to be already released by now, our salesman told us
its not working and having trouble with it, its going to be released late 2019,
