    Kyocera KM-6030/8030

I'm wondering if any of you guys know how to continue scanning after a paper misfeed with these copiers.

After the copier misfeeds, it says "Reset originals in processor", which I do but when I try to continue scanning, it takes the paper but the page numbers don't change indicating that it is not scanning anything after the misfeed.

It sucks because if I scan a 900 page document and it misfeeds after 800, I have to start all over again as there is no option to send what you already have scanned.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

Just do what the machine says. It asks you to putt ALL the originals back in the DF and hit start. It will then feed everything through up to the point where it jammed and then it will continue scanning from the point where it jammed. Kyocera copiers and the Mitas before them have worked this way for a long time and it has always been confusing.

      Thank you for your reply.

      Is there any other way?

I mean if you are putting the originals back in the processor, you're basically rescanning from the beginning which doesn't make any sense to do since you might as well cancel/reset the scan and restart from the beginning so you know it will work.

I've reset the originals before and had it scanned what I've already scanned but it still didn't work afterwards. After it finished, it still said "Reset originals in the processor".

Anyone have some sort of trick? Or is there an option that you can change in the menu to send what you've already scanned after it misfeeds?

We are a relatively new Kyocera dealer so I'm not positive there is a better workaround. If the machine has a hard drive, I'd scan them to it in smaller lots, then print from the HDD. It'd sure save you from having to rescan the whole thing.
        Hope that helps !

sounds like that the customer is putting in too many papers in the DP, per the tech bulletin on the machine the DP has a 200 sheet max cap.

a 900 page document will have to be broken down into smaller packages.

Yes. Batch scanning option is 'On'.

Sometimes I need to get out time sensitive documents which I need to get out ASAP and when it misfeeds, it pisses me off as I have to rescan the entire document again hoping it won't misfeed again.

Thanks to everyone for helping so far!

Any other solutions rather than scanning and sending in smaller batches?

I'm hoping there will be a magical button or trick you can do to resolve this issue. LOL

clean the reg clutch, the pre reg clutch and if that did not work clean the transfer section real good and replace the transfer roller and belt. Its one of those 3

is it jamming or stoping in the adf if its jamming test all your sensors and feed clutches or even replace feed rollers but if its stopping in the middle of a job you may need to add a extra memory dim to the main board
