    kyocera paper feed jam

hi all,, hoping to get some advice here.. i run a kyocera km 4035, and it has a paper jam on the side door,, i am guessin that it is missin a roller when trying to print both sides,, problem only happened when trying to recieve fax. main problem is that i cannot get machine to stop trying to print the fax.. it keeps trying, and jamming, thus rendering machine useless.. is there a master reset i can be using,, i am trying to cancel job, clear job, just pause machine,, but it seems possesed,,, any help would be appreciated

    thank

Perhaps a U906 Partial Reset might help you. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The last machine I worked on with that unruly fax had the faxes going into a job separator tray which constantly jammed. I couldn't tell it to stop, switch trays, or even go into maintenance mode to diagnose the problem. Unplugging it for a while caused it to want to print a Power Failure report into the jamming tray. I ended up unplugging the ribbon cable between the main board and fax board until I fixed the bad switch.

You cant go into simulation when a fax/print is in memory.

I cant remember whether that specific model fax system had a battery on it.

If it does, you going to have to remove the battery in order to remove/get rid of the fax.

Can you remove all the paper from the trays so it doesn't try to print when you turn it on? Then try to see if you can cancel the fax job from the control panel? I would also unplug the fax line and network cable before turning on so no other jobs try to come in.
If that works, try making copy to see if you can trace where the jam is and if it is something you can fix yourself.
BTW, where did you buy this machine from that you cannot get certified repair done?

                Good luck!

I'm amazed when I hear that about dealers, you would think they would want to get a new customer. If the local Kyocera dealer won't come out you can try a Copystar dealer since it's basically the same machine. Here are the dealer locator links.

there's a large Kyocera Dealer in downtown Orlando been around for 41 years. Either the end user hasn't contacted them or perhaps he doesn't want to pay for service? The dealer does chargeable calls for time and materials. Sounds like there may be more to this than not just coming out to service his machine.

You are not being truthful. Call an authorized dealer. Ain't nuthin' free, bro.
