    TASKalfa 5551ci - How to change service mode code SIM U010

    Good morning,
    I have a customer with a KYOCERA TASKalfa 5551ci unit and his IT Administrator has changed the Service Code in sim U010 and now he no remember how is the code, how we can entry in service mode to put 10871087 another time ??

      Setting the maintenance mode ID
      Description
      Sets the maintenance mode ID.
      Purpose
      Modify maintenance mode ID for more security.
      Method
      1. Press the start key.
      Setting
      1. Select [New ID].
      2. Enter a new 8-digit ID on ten keys (0 – 9, *, #). * and # are mandatory to contain.
      3. Select [New ID(Reconfirm)].
      4. Enter a new 8-digit ID on ten keys (0 – 9, *, #).
      5. Press the start key. The setting is set.


      This one SHOULD work
      Method: [Initialize]
      1. Select [Initialize].
      2. Press the start key. ID is initialized.
      Completion
      Press the stop key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.

                  I know what people say...BUT I still would love to have the engineering code/s...I could have on multiple occasions used the code to correct problems...Oh well...

                      I have a friend who went to work as a Kyocera tech Rep. He will apparently never share this code because it seems that anyone caught revealing this code to anyone will immediately start looking for new employment. The only way it will ever become "Public" knowledge is if a tech rep loses his position under less than amicable conditions and decides to "get even." I believe even then it would be short lived as I'm sure they have a new one waiting in the wings ready to be rolled out.

                      Bottom line is, Sorry, Out of luck! They seem to be serious this time.
