    Kyocera 520i with black copies

This is the third time it has happened each time about 6 months apart.
Each time I replace the main charge corona and the problem goes away.

The cleaning motor is plugged in and charge cleaning is turned on.

Today I installed a 5035 main charge corona as a test and works so far.

    Any other ideas?

How many copies between the six months? They don't last long. I use the km-5035/5050 charge corona and it works. But eventually will give you black copies too.
Only remedy is cleaning them every toner change, with a rag and cleaning solution. At leaat the older coronas are easier to take apart to clean.

Charge loss on those FalconIII's is very common. Stock up on charge units. There isn't anything preventative to do. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

On a related note will the drum unit from a KM3050 work in the 520i?
I know they show different part numbers but I can't imagine they would be physically different and other than one rated for 400K and the other rated for 500K?

The EEPROM is different for sure. It will code out. =^..^=

Km3050 Drum wont work on a 520i, but a KM5050 drum works just fine. and vice versa

Like BlackCat said, the 3050/5050 will give you a code, think is C7410
