Fs-3640 mfp not printing more than 1 page

    Fs-3640 mfp not printing more than 1 page

    I have a fs-3640 connected to a computer and it will not print more than 1 page/ set a time. Will copy 100s no problem, but if the customer tries to print more than 1, nothing will show on the printer, not even a blinking light. Put 1 print, and works fine. Told customer might be a computer problem. Tried a different 3640 with new usb same thing.
    Their IT guy swears it is the printer.

    I tried installing it myself, got the newest driver, test page ok. But only prints 1 page. If you need say 10, have to print 10 times...

    Any guesses? Thanks.

      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          I brought another machine, hooked up my laptop, and printed a bunch. I showed the customer, but their IT guy keep blaming the printer, so I told them to get another computer guy......

              At one employer we put it right in the service contract: If it will print crossover from the techs laptop, that's it. The machine works. The End.

                  What print driver has been installed by IT? The KX driver or the universal driver? Is the driver installed on the local pc or is it setup on the server? Is bi-directional support enabled on the print driver? Had a case just last week that would not print multiple sets on a 4125, IT used the universal driver and did not allow bi-directional support in the driver, had IT install the KX driver with bi-directional support and it solved the problem.

                          It could also be Ram disk setting mismatch. It has to be on or off on both sides, on the driver (Printer properties -> Device Settings) and on the device itself.
