I have a machine that doesn't recognize the Fax Board. Tried another board and it didn't see it either. Any one help or do I need to update the firmware

Re: Kyocera M2535dn firmware or maybe another solution
You should ALWAYS update the firmware when installing a board. What are the chances of you machine being at the exact correct/compatible firmware level as the boxed accessory or shelved part? Very slim.
Updating the firmware avoids any and all firmware incompatibilities. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Kyocera M2535dn firmware or maybe another solution
Is the machine truly a 2535 or did you put a fax board into a 2035? The main boards are different and the 2035 will not recognize the addition of a fax board and updating firmware will not resolve anything. If the machine started life as a 2535 then you need to replace the main board.Comment

Re: Kyocera M2535dn firmware or maybe another solution
It is a Kyocera M2535dn. The FAX option disappeared on it's on. It doesn't show in the setup or service modes. Was sent another card under warranty but it doesn't find it either.
The I/F is unblocked.
I believe firmware will fix it but I don't have it.Comment

Re: Kyocera M2535dn firmware or maybe another solution
I have all the firmware versions after I looked on my other PC, I believe the USB is disabled. It won't update firmware and Nothing will find the printer from a USB cord
I must have other problems. How do you enable / disable USBComment
