Try running U930 if the drum assembly was replaced along with the charge roller. (re-run all of the following except number 5)
    1. Clearing the main charger roller counts (maintenance mode U930): Clear
    2. Developer bias adjustment (maintenance mode U140): AC Calibration
    3. ID correction operation setting (maintenance mode U464): Calib
    4. Color registration adjustment (maintenance mode U469): Auto
    5. Adjusting the uneven density (maintenance mode U412): Normal Mode (High-end model only)
    6. Adjusting the halftone automatically (maintenance mode U410)

This might help ... Kyocera Taskalfa 3252ci background and error codes

Specifically this from bush-tech : "I was hoping the rest of this thread would magically appear just like it magically disappeared!

If you have this fault you'll notice drum counts haven't cleared and if you switch U100 DC Auto Adj to OFF the fault will vanish.
The fix was new drums, but I had to switch the machine on with no drums and allow it to error before the drum counts would clear on the machine.
The drums I fitted without doing this had the count of the previous drum written to them, and they were cactus... backgrounding and high count despite being brand new. So they've all gone back to Kyocera who seem to think this was all caused by fitting drums without switching the machine off.
The techs involved when this machine was on the field deny this.

There was a response to this thread of another tech in america who's encountered this exact fault, so it's one to watch for.

      Cheers"

Re: Background after drum change on kyocera Taskalfa3252

my collegue encountered the same issue when he changed the A drum @ 200k.
the values were not resetted= > so he manually adjusted the dcbias2 k from 0 => to 50.
the problem seems to be solved temporarly.

i had to go back and saw that the drum values were not resetted individually.
i unplugged the power and changed the drum K.

I looked after powering on to the values of drum k drive tme and these where resetted automatically.
according to Kyocera had the technician forgotten to power off the machine. and this was the reason that the background occured.

we had TWO similar case and now solved.
        best regards

today I changed the drums and the values were back to normal.
so please take your time when replacing drums on 25 & 32 ppm devices (iris) opc drums.
first update the machine to the latest version.
            unplug powercord.
            and change the drum
plug in the powercord and do the settings.
check the values in 110, if the drumcounter is not resetted, you will get background within x-prints, copys.

            this is the right procedure.

Had one about a week ago. Installed MK-A, first page out was black. Put the old drum back in, still black. Checked the new drum, when I took out the charge roller, it came out in pieces. It ended up taking the Main High Voltage Unit out in the process. NICE. And of course the board is on back order.

Never ever has anything like this on any Canon or Konica or anything else! Drums that refuse to clear! Ive had 3 out of 4 drums clear with copier on and only 1 that didnt clear, thus im not convinced the machine has to be off. Its a bit starnge to me. All other brand copiers will clear drum with machine on.

A copier that re-writes the old drum count to the new drum? Now thats scary! Junk machine! Buy a Canon! Maybe a Konica Minolta! Jesus!

From the service manual - maintenance section 4-1 page 353 ,
you need to unplug from the wall, not just turning it off for the counts to reset.
