    Kyocera F428 205C error

    Hi Folks,
I'm not too familiar with this code, as I understand it's a communication error, I had my customer to re-install print driver, no luck.
Does anyone have any recommendations, for me to try..?
I read a few ideas on line, someone reccomends replacing the computer harddrive..so any suggestions, well appreciated...Thanks !

I think you might have left out some information:
    What model?
    Firmware updated?

Might the actual error be "CF248"?

It makes it difficult to hold up a conversation when I have to carry both sides. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I apologize for the missing info, that I failed to present. But, if this helps anyone in the field, I disconnected the ethernet cable, erased any pending jobs, on the copier/printer, itself, then clean all "ques" from each computer station that are connected to this Kyocera 405c machine. I did check to be sure, that customer was using the specific drivers for this printer, they had a universal print driver, which their IT guy, maybe using for scanning. Not sure, so I didnt want to mess up their scanning abilities. Told them, to check which printer driver, to use, this may help getting errors. Unfortunately, my computer skills are limited, so I'm careful, not to mess with someones network...
sorry, about the incomplete info Mr. Blackcat..firmware version 2k5 2foo 006 016 2010 09 18, but I dont think that had bearing , for this particular repair..God Bless..and Good Luck. If this helps, someone with this error code..cool beans !

If it was a CF248 you are having a print data error, very common on a lot of Kyoceras especially if printing from MACs or websites, or (god forbid) websites on a MAC. Firmware can resolve some of these, but not all.

Just clearing the queue and re-booting the device will take care of that one code for the moment, but you'll want to monitor:
who is printing when you get the errors
        what type of computer
what print driver on that computer
what type of file is the enduser printing

In situations where the enduser was viewing and editing legal documents through a web based application, the answer was to download the document, open it in Adobe, then print it from the MAC, not through the web based application.

Guess would be Kyocera F428 205C error translates to F248 code on an 205c

Fix: stop printing from Internet Explorer, download the file before printing, corrupt file type thing

            Re: Kyocera F428 205C error

Just a heads up on F248 error codes. Just learned this myself. Last week a major customer's IT department made the decision that all printers/MFPs should have static/assigned IP addresses, fine actually the right way to go except that they were assigning an IP address but NOT making a reservation in DHCP for that address!! The result was we got a call for a unit unable to print for the workgroup and creating F2248 codes. On arrival, it was only one computer out of 10 in the workgroup that could not print and was creating F248 codes since the IT dept. changed the port on the print driver for that computer to their "assigned" IP address, except that IP address was assigned to a computer!! Changed the port settings back to the host name and rectified the problem. Point being if the unit has the same IP address as another device on the network it could also create F248 codes.
