Taskalfa 3050ci printed image significantly darker than it should be

    Hi everyone,

i have a taskalfa 3050ci which leaves a light, dark shadow on every printed page. No difference wether i print a status page or just copy an empty white page. Has anyone a tip what i could do? I tried to scan a sample image, but as the complete page is darker, you cant really see the problem at all.

    Many thanks in regard.

Standard question...Are you using generic toner...Standard answer , if you are , it's a 99% chance that it's the toner.
P.S. These copiers HATE non-OEM toner.

Is the light/dark shadow of a specific color? Geo is correct, if you are using generic toner it is probably the toner causing the issue, generic toners do NOT do well in these machines. Since it happens on the status page it is definitely a print issue, but again what color? If you print/copy just a BW image do you still get the banding? The banding could be a drum or the DV, but which color? A little more info would help.

Try using this document as an electronic original. It will tell us a lot:
        =^..^=
        Attached Files
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

So Blackcat, when you get to a color machine you'll print out that attachment and can often diagnose what the issue is?

Usually within the first few minutes, yes. Not all the time, but it's the standard that I'm used to comparing to. =^..^=
