FS-4200DN Command Center RX reset password

    Hello,

so i have 4 Kyocera FS-4200DN and i don't have passoword for them.
if remember correct its first generation that have Commend Center RX

Of course i tried many things (searched if there is keypad combination to reset default)
I have tried Prescribe but i don't think that will work because is for older devices like FS-4020 :/
When i try form KM-Net View i got error "not authorized" etc. from USB Drive its accepted but notin more :/

In SM there is FRPO but no command to reset/change password (init could help but without actual default settings i don't want to do this).

    Any suggestion except Engine reset?

PS: this devices don't have jumpers like older one so don't suggest to use jumper to reset password.

    Just the Engine Reset. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      To use Netviewer,
First access the device in KMNetViewer by using the "Administrator" password (usually the numeric password.)
To do this, when you first "discover" the device in KMNetViewer use the "Administrator" password in the box for "Administrator Command Center Password" in the Communications dialogue and Admin/Admin for the Login dialogue.
      See
      ResetAdminPW.pdf

      Otherwise -
Send this Prescribe command to the printer.
!R! EGRE; EXIT; - initialize the engine board, resets all passwords.

Ok i found a way to reset without resetting engine board.

its that same way that one person post on forum but i wasn't sure that this will work with newer machine but its worked.

its form this post FS-4020DN old firmware and Command Center password
This is command reset password form DeviceAdmin not user Admin. But if you have DeviceAdmin then you can reset any password

        @GeneOR95
i know how to use KM-Net and other Kyocera tools (not only public available - i was for over 15 yest certificated Kyocera Dealer) but this was not a answer to my question. but thx.

Re: FS-4200DN Command Center RX reset password

I know this is somewhat an old post but just in case someone is looking for how to reset Command Center RX password on the 4200 / 2100 series printers it can be done from the printers' interface.

From the printer menu, go to User / Job account - OK
          Log on P/W for Device

Note - Here is the "device log on" from service manual.
          FS 2100 (4000)
          FS 4100 (4500)
          FS 4200 (5000)
          FS 4300 (6000)

Go to User Login Set - OK
          Local User List - OK
          Admin - OK

Arrow to Login User Name - Edit
(This is where you reset User Name default - Admin)

Arrow over to Login P/W - Edit
(This is where you reset P/W default -Admin)
After resetting P/W you will be prompted for a 2nd time to confirm.

Back out and turn printer off / on and you should be able now to log in the Command Center RX with your new U/N &n P/W.

          Hope this helps someone.
