    [Electrical] FS 4200 dead USB port

    Hello frinds! Has anyone managed to fix a USB PWB with dead usb on these printers? I have multiple Kyocera FS 4200 USB PWB that don't comunicate with the pc. The usb port is simply dead. The printers runs perfectly, except this. Thank you for your answers!

    The first thing I would check is in Command Center;

    Basic > Security > Device Security > Interface Block
    This page allows you to restrict access from each interface.
    Network, USB Device, USB Host, Parallel I/F, Optional I/F
    Specifies whether or not to restrict access from each of the interfaces above.
    Access from the interfaces that are set to Block is restricted

    If USB is blocked, unblock it and check.

      Checked all items in that menu, all are set to "unblock". I think that is an electrical issue. A condenser or another piece from the usb PWB may be broken.

          Are you computer savvy? Have you checked Windows Device Manager for a missing driver?

          When I setup printers out of the box the USB instructions are very particular about when to run the CD and when to connect the cable because you can get in this situation.

            Yes, the USB port in the back of the printer. The one in the front is for other purposes. I know. The same printer works fine on USB, conects to PC and prints ok if I change the main PWB. The whole asembly with the USB port.
