[CQ] Can you put a TA 4550ci in a TA 3550 machine ?

I have several used 4550 ci fusers and have a 3550ci in the field which is giving me fusing problems.... (Toner not fusing on lower half.) To troubleshoot, I am hoping to try to use a 4550ci fuser. Anyone ever tried this ? Thanks so much !!!!

I'm not sure about those models, but the 3551ci and 4551ci fusers aren't compatible

According to bulletin #1 they are different. The 4550 5550 are the same.

The 4550ci/4551ci fuser units FK-8500 are not compatible with the 3550ci/3551ci's fuser units FK-8300. If i remember correctly, the screw hole alignment and connections are different, making it impossible to swap the two items.
