    Is a TA 3050ci compatible with SMB3?

Just had a customer upgrade their entire system to MS Server 2019 and now their 3050ci won't scan even with the last firmware installed (no immediate error code, the scan just hangs there then gives an Error:Connect on the print out when you cancel). There is no option to revert to SMB1 on this server (so I'm told), so the bottom line is......is FTP the only way out other than upgrading the machine?

    Many thanks,
    Chris

Yup, it's either FTP or e-mail.

Describes how to enable and disable the Server Message Block protocol (SMBv1, SMBv2, and SMBv3) in Windows client and server environments.

Good article but you have to be careful about letting virus' in.

Check with Kyocera . They have some firmware for older copiers , and some MFP's , that will allow communication for SMB v2 and v3 . Perhaps they will have the firmware you need .

Henryt2 is correct. Get it from your area sales manager. It is available for this series.
          Hope that helps !
