We have a 3212i that they use to scan a lot. On big runs it will come up with a 7100 error. I am assuming that it is a memory code, but I have done firmware, and put in a new hard drive. The ram is not expandable. Anyone else ran into a 7100 scan error? Thanks.

Re: Scan error 7100
Scan to email? Perhaps you're exceeding the attachment size limit? Perhaps you could try monochrome instead of color scans, 200 instead of 600 dpi, less pages, etc.?If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Scan error 7100
Is the 7100 error a C code? There are no error codes in this model that display a 7100. Are you scanning to a folder via SMB, scan to email? Had a case a week or so ago where the network folder was limited by network IT as to the size of the file being stored. I would check with IT as to the file size allowed and if the folder has a storage limit on it. If scanning to email, is the email server on site or in the cloud as with MS 360? Have seen some weird errors with MS cloud email servers.Comment
