kyocera fs 3640 firmware for smbv2

    hello
did anyone find a solution for smb scanning on kyocera fs 3640 models? or other older models?
i know that smb v1 is disabled and it only works if you enable it. but i wanna know if there is any new firmware to make these models support smbv2.

We have few clients that only want to use smb for scanning and the only option rn is to change all older mfp models with new ones that support smbv2,v3

Thanks in advance and great weekend to everyone!

It's on their ftp site or they can create a remote session and transfer it to you. Either way you have to call the hotline because the ftp site requires a password and is often down anyway.

Not sure why they don't include it in general firmware release or on kda.

My guess is it's a security bandaid and they don't want an official endorsement but rather a case by case basis.
