    FS1118 c6400 error

    Hello

can somebody help me to reset C6400 error?

I try to enter in service menu (with 10871087) to reset field U163 but the machine don't want to enter in service menu....

I spoke with one person and he tell me that I must rewrite the eeprom on this machine. When I read the eeprom (24C128) I see this is empty (only FF FF ...)
Can somebody send me a eeprom readed from a fully functional machine?
    Thanks in advance

    Looks like a US CS-1820

If it's the same, try this:

Press System Menu/Counter, cursor down to Select Service, press & hold Start-#-Enter.

That will get you into service mode. The best thing that you can do first is buy the friggin manual. These maintenance modes are not that intuitive.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You will first need to turn off and unplug, open top cover, then turn on and follow above directions.

It sounds like you didn't understand the part about "Buy the friggin manual....".

A manual is a tool. When you go to work do you borrow your neighbors car? or borrow your neighbor's computer? I don't think so.

Can you at least pretend that you're a professional?
