    F041 code on a 250ci

I have a 250ci that came up with a F041 code. We replaced the ISM PWB and updated the firmware, we still have the code. Anyone else had that?

I had that code on a 5501i. I ended up replacing the whole scanner assembly which fixed it :

My theory is that the LED lamp pwb that provides power to the exposure lamp went bad and took out the isc board.

On a 250ci the lamp board (called the inverter pwb) connects to the ISM board. I would try the inverter board and ISM board at the same time.

The manual shows Main PWB as first choice. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yeah, I seen that. The main board is almost never the issue.

We replaced the main board, (On a 250ci the lamp board (called the inverter pwb) connects to the ISM board. I would try the inverter board and ISM board at the same time.) Replaced the bracket that holds both these boards. Now like I seen in a previous post, we are replacing the entire scanner assy. I am glad we have a bunch of these in the junk pile. I will post the results.
