Quite basic I think. Anywhere from single page documents to multipage.
If they were already PDF files, why were they printed and then scanned? When they were printed is there any possibility that the machine they were printed on "copy protect security" feature and it was turned on?

      Re: DATA SECURITY KIT E

      Sorry my mistake.
Scans are just documents of plain text.
      Again
      Sorry.
      BTW
Is the firmware mentioned above the most up to date?
      Thanks

        Re: DATA SECURITY KIT E

They have reviewed the USB log files and it has been escalated to KDC engineering (Japan) (They being KYOCERA USA)
Just to advise in case anyone is interested. (April 08, 2020)

Once I hear back I will advise.

        Thank You

May or may not be relevant .
Some of the old TA 180/181 have a software setting which disabled the keyboard during printing.

            Response from KYOCERA.
KDC Engineering indicated they were able to process the U964 USB logs.
Advised to check QA Bulletin J059.
Corrective measures for abnormality occurrence during the DP operation. (Original jam, machine lock-up, service call error C9180,
abnormal sound from the DP feed-shift motor, etc.)

At this point a replacement DP-7100 was installed this morning to see if the problem leaves or continues.

The original DP-7100 serial number is V9A8635823 may fall into the serial number of affected model.

Depending on what happens in the next while I will advise if problem has been resolved.

By the way Bulletin J059 is on KDACONNECT

            Thanks

              The test DF-7100 worked OK.
The parts arrived and were installed in the original DF-7100 as per the bulletin and machine is working OK. (Friday March 24th)
If anything occurs later I will advise,
              Thanks
