    KFS Toner Yields

Is there a place on KFS to see toner yields ? I saw lots information on toner order tab but haven't found an area for toner yields if there is one.

which toner are you talking about?

that information SHOULD be on the spec sheet for the machine..

and even on the customer version of the KM site.

I'm talking about what machine actually using in between changes. Using Kyocera numbers have found over the years is worthless they aren't very close to real world. Thats why was hoping KFS could do it get actual real world numbers.

Most manufacturers quote toner yield based on 5% coverage. Your customers actual coverage may be higher. Get know what they print then maybe graphics and pictures easy over quotes.

Thats why I want see if KFS kept track that way will know what customers are getting in between changes. KFS monitors how much toner in the machine so thought maybe an area for yield some where.

Like tbs said ... industry STANDARDS state 5% coverage on A4/LTR... that is only for TEXT..
Any borders.. graphics.. bold will increase the toner used... if printing in COLOR if the page has ONE PIXEL of color ( or scan glass has blob of "colored" ink on it) it will be counted as color page. Grey scales use ALL colors to produce BLACK.
So you see it really depends on WHAT and HOW the customer is printing.

KFS isn't always accurate. Esp if IT changes IP or KFS crashes..( which is frequent from what I read)

I guess this is not getting thru evidently. I understand yields totally been doing this for 34 years. I understand it varies to what customers print that is why looking for an average of our customers so we can see if our contracts need to be adjusted or not to better cover actual toner being used. I'm guessing if KFS could do that someone would have said something by now. Will just have to do it old fashioned way by hand using toner changes logged in KFS.

aktech, sorry not much help. I went and download KFS manual from here:

Unfortunately toner yields aren't even mentioned. We use PrintFleet to monitor our devices and it also can't report actual toner consumption/yields.
