    3501i Error C-3300

    Hello friends,
I have been trying to repair my customers Kyocera Taskalpha 3501i that started out getting a C-3300 error code intermittently, as they
would turn the machine off and on and get it to work again. They tell me this went on for about a month, approx. every 3 or 4 days between working and getting the error code. Then it wouldn't clear the code and wouldn't work anymore, so they called me in.

I have done everything listed in the service manual on this code. I Replaced the following: LED lamp PWB, CCD PWB, ISC PWB, Main PWB (actually sent the Main PWB to Hytec for repair), all wires in the scanner area, including the lamp ribbon wire, the 2 wires that come down and connect to the main pwb. The lamp lights up during warm up and through simulation 61. I re-installed the newest firmware 7

So, I'm looking for someone who has had the same problem and fixed it or if you have any good ideas.
    Please help if you can.

Two firmware updates addressed the code in E197 & H121. That's all that came up on Astea.
    Hope that helps !

What about the scanner motor, does it move at all?

Only to spin.. most scanner motors don't have a 'tensioner' adjustment.. if belt is too slack .. replace it.

Yes, the scanner motor turns. I did move the 1st mirror arm over to re[lace the lamp board and the lamp ribbon wire, then as it tried to warm up it moved left and lamp turned on for it's normal short cycle. Then 3 or seconds later--C-3300.

It was the CCD PCB (u) that fixed our customers.
