    FS-C8020 F24C fault > Firmware update source?

    Hi all,
I have a FS-C8020 that has started giving F24C faults, requesting a power cycle, they only appear to happen when attempting to login as admin to the command center, which also gets stuck and does not log in.

First thing I wanted to try was a firmware update, I know there have been updates, but it seems Kyocera keep them under lock and key, as such I was wondering if anyone could help me with finding current FS-C8020MFP Firmware?

The machine in question has firmware 2KZ_2F00.001.504 dated 2011.02.08, others I work with are dated as new as 2015.05.13, so there have been changes.

    Thanks for reading.

This error can also be caused by a corrupt print job.

But firmware is usually required to resolve the issue, drop us an email if you need it.

Delete the print job from the source computer or server. Avoid printing from internet.

      Or

Some f-codes are corrupt fax data. Get into simulations and clear fax memory.

Thanks, I'll do as you mentioned and see if I can log into command center.

Did you do a full update or use the Turbo pack. If you are experiencing problems always use the Full Firmware package and not the Turbo pack. Just to let you know.

Re: FS-C8020 F24C fault > Firmware update source?

I have come across this on a few devices recently - different older models Utax 206ci (same model as the FS-C8020 I Think) and M2535DN both on current FW.

I'm not sure if this has been caused by recent Win 10 updates or Chrome itself but only workaround I have found is to use internet exporer. I haven't tried other browers but Chrome causes F24C after logging in as Admin and IE doesn't. 3 Machines in total now.

I would give firefox a go.. hardly any issues that I've had and I know other senior tech here use it
