Has any one seen one ???
We've discussed re-coating the teflon sheet with some of that OIL-965 that comes with the Toshiba e Studio 4555C/4505C fuser rebuild kits. It's a very similar construction. The two fusers I disassembled were in the process of ripping the dry teflon sheet, exactly like the Toshibas do. We have not tried it yet.

If anybody gives this a try I'll be interested in the results. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If you are getting a grinding noise from the fuser before the error, check the plastic that holds the gear that turns the fuser. If the gear gets under any strain is cracks the plastic and the gear jumps across so it cannot turn the fuser. See images below, (After taking out the fuser) I jammed a bit of paper between the plastic and the metal to hold the split plastic closed and it seems to fix it.

Fuser's rated life never includes idle time.

If you have long idle time and wonder why the fuser fail prematurely....

Say the 300k rated fuser failed at 150k....most likely the other 100k worth of heat and rotation was wasted on idle... Or roasting chicken...

Have around 300 of these printers working. The problem can be reduced by lubricating the pad under the belt after every 3 months aprox.
Further had the base of oil pad fabricated in aluminium. Using the belt directly without the pad. Working fine .

The fusers after print cca 30-50 K pages starts to turn different speed which causes staining or jams. What are your experiences ?

I need to resolve the problem another way than by replacing the fuser. For example One P2040DN (total counter 80K) has already third fuser kit. One I replaced during warranty and second a few days ago. In addition Kyocera sells FK-1150 more expensive than new printer(?)! So I must to disassembly new printers for parts.
By the way, is it true these models are made in cooperation with Ricoh ?

                Thank you.

The only issue with this fix is getting the grease to apply in the first place.
No mention of where to get it from. or any other similar grease that could be used.!

Everyone that I have replaced has been warranty so far.Hopefully the new fusers will be better by the time I hit one that is not covered by warranty.I have gotten us to just replacing the fuser when it goes.Fuser strip downs and rebuilds do bring back memories of the old days .
