    CHARGE ROLLERS!!!....

    Hello all

I know that is going to be a silly question, but I have to ask before looking like a fool at the customer's office...

So, I need to replace a charge roller in a 3010i and we have charge rollers for 35XX/ci (just the rollers, not the assemblies). I was wondering if anyone has tried to rebuild the 3010 charge roller assembly using a replacement from a 35XX, 45XX, 65XX? We do not have a 3010i here for me to try this on...So I am asking. We have the charge roller itself...

Again, I don't want to go the customers office to find out that I need to order the assembly as a whole.

You guys are awesome...thanks for the help. -J

Here's a list of all the charge roller assemblies that are compatible with a 3510. If you have aftermarket charge roller only (not the entire assbly), I'm not sure if they'll fit in the plastic housing.

What type of charge roller are they? A teflon/rubber coating over foam ?

if it's a coated roller have you tried cleaning ( if defects shown ) or is it just E.O.L. ?

      if defects :

NuFinish car polish .. coat the rollers ..rub in.. left dry & buff clean..repeat until clean

this has been personally tested on : Canon - HP - Ricoh - KM - Mita.. all results gave longer life.. bolder prints .. less build up on the roller.

You can swap rollers between the color and monochrome Alphard charge units. But, I believe the 3010 charge rollers are smaller and have different ends. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
