    interesting 'private' msg to me:

    >I am a PAID supporter of this site and many others!

    >Asshole!

-fantastic. your unselfish buisness will probably save whales and set back global warming several years and degrees. peace in the middle east and cure for cancer lurks in the horizon.

i have no plans to take this arguing any further whatever contents in private msg you may send me. i'm done, i've said what i have to say about this matter.

        >I think your just pissed off because you didn't think of it first.

        -splendid argumentation.

        >Remember, we are talking about service manuals here. You show me, where on >Kyocera's website that a person "who is not an authorized dealer" can download >a service manual... Huh? Can't find it? So shut the "f" up.

-pointless swearing continiues. next time, try calling or e-mailing the companies who actually know that they're doing, who have the original manuals. you'd be amazed.

and if you're going to go the 'provide what independent dealers need' and 'spend their time and money to scan manuals' route, you might suddenly end up in copyright hell, side by side with downloading music and movies. but thats not what you ment, was it? the guys a saint, right?

Although there are a lot of sources for free printer manuals, there are not too many sites with copier manuals.

Getting back to the subject at hand, I would just take a good look at the scanner. Blow out any dust around any sensors on the left side and just make sure there aren't any obstructions.
