    [Misc] Kyocera ECOSYS M3040dn

    Good day

I have a Kyocera ECOSYS M3040dn, the fuser smudging toner on the page.

is there anyone that can upload or send me the technical bulletin of the machine, unfortunately i don't have credentials to log on to the Kyocera site.

any assistance will be greatly appreciated

    kind Regards

      thanks Ropariva for you insight

the issue that i am experiencing is that the fuser isn't cleaning off toner off the pressure roller which in turn creates a build up of toner on the hot roller. i have the latest FW installed onto the machine and using Custom6, custom6 decreases the temp in the middle of the hot roller. but unfortunately that hasn't helped. plus as service department i cant afford to put a new fuser into that machine every 10k prints.

        Are they using OEM toner?

Make sure your fuser isn't set in envelope mode. Small blue lever at the end of the fuser unit.

We were but moved over to Original toner. Before running the original toner we replaced the developer unit.

so.. new original toner, new developer unit and new fuser

Improving the smudges on the press roller.
The following fuser controls are changed to improve the smudges on the press roller.

Improve decreasing temperature right after feeding the paper.

Before: Temperature for the center section of the heat roller has decreased about 10 degrees C or 18 decrees F immediately after
                  feeding the paper.

After: Control the temperature drop off for the surface of the heat roller.
Newly add the target temperature change mode in Custom6.
In order to support the customer who has the dirt of the press roller even if using by the default condition, the mode is set in
Custom6 that the control temperature of the heat roller is increased.
[Custom6]: Control is made to increase the fuser temperature about 20 degrees C or 36 degrees F.
