    Jam 0000 on Ecosys M3550idn

    Hey guys,
I have a Ecosys M3550idn that is showing a jam 0000 code. Any one experienced this with these machines? I cannot run U031 as that is not an option in maintenance mode on this machine, and I have been through the machine to see if any paper or torn piece of paper could be left in machine.

I would check all the flag sensors. the duplex one in the pull down area when you take the tray out. The hidden one under the metal secrion in the front. Also the flags in the back door and fuser flags as well. Try cheating the door and start pushing flags to see which one lets the machine come to ready.

use your browser to look for most happened jamming.
      e.g.
      192.168.100.100/eventlog

If you add /eventlog to ip adress you can see the history on the screen.
      Maybe this can be helpfull.

This machine has an eye body sensor on the bottom of the drum that I've seen coated in toner.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know you could pull up event log that way. Cool.
