    Kyocera horizontal smudging

Hello, my kyocera ecosys p2040dn is smudging horizontally, but only smudging a 1 inch section in the middle of the A4 page, as per attached pdf. The printer is 44,000 pages old. Any suggestions on how to fix would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Russell

The teflon sheet in the fuser dries out, slowing the fuser drive. It will cause jamming too. Check the fuser drive coupler for damage, then replace the fuser. I believe that there is also a firmware update that's supposed to improve the situation. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I agree. Many times the teflon roll has even cracks in it...

No need to swap whole fuser. Order sleeve separatly and if you can order grease pad too. Apply good ammount silicon oil on grease pad, assemble fuser and you are good to go

Blackcat, many thanks; It is now working well with a new teflon sheet and lubricant. Cheers!
