    km-2540\3040 t\s unit

In the last week I've had 2 machines now..
the transfer roller just 'falls' out when the customer opens the left door.
on the one machine, I put it back together. Perfect.
On the other machine I ended up breaking one of the clips (part of the bushing on the transfer roller)
these clips forming part of the bushing looks like a serious weak point!!!!
    anyone experienced this before???

Extremely common. Keep the rear bushings on hand. I believe that the rear bushing has been updated. The same bushings are used in several different machines. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Had this happen to a couple 3040s. I just replaced the Transfer Units under warranty and problem solved. The new units are kind of a tough squeeze to fit, but I consider that a good thing.
