    Transmit recieve error (0x3101)

    Hi guys

    I have a strange problem

We have over 50 3050 and 5050 mfd's accross the country with one customer using one network.

They all use the same email smtp server and do not require authentication. all MFD's will scan to email but when we set up the MFD to report Low toner, Jams and Monthly Counter readings we get the above error.

the strange thing is 75% of the mfd's work the rest don't and they all have the same same settings, even down to the snmp settings the only difference on each machine is the IP address and the Mac address. If you use the test in command centre it comes back ok it only errors when you try to send a report.

    Thanks

Good point but alas Yes all thier mfd's have to be on the same firmware levels and we are not allowed to change it without quality testing it on a safe network in thier IT department.

That is a server response error, if that helps you any.

looking closer, it may have to do with authentication.

          3101 Error: Server response
The server is error status. Check if the server is working properly.
Server setting is not authenticated normally. Check the settings for client/server authentication.

There may be an issue with the customer's firewall blocking certain ports (like the ones used for SNMP traps and such) or restricting authentication based on IP filter rules.
