    CopyStar CS5550ci drum/developer accessing

    Happy Groundhog Day!

I'm having trouble getting the drum and developers out and cannot seem to figure out how to release the transfer belt. Am I barking up the wrong tree? I'm chasing a C7103 error code and thought I'd start with a cleaning and inspection.

    Any help is appreciated.

I think you may need to remove the fuser first, it's been a while since I worked on one of these then disconnect the transfer belt wire. Lift the transfer belt up and remove slightly, you don't need to completely remove it for access to the drums.

I think I'd start with a developer refresh, then examine the images for overtoning/undertoning magenta. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have fixed several problems lately with the Laser Scanner Cleaning option via System menu > Adjust/maintenance. Machines that are on 24/7 may not have this option performed regularly and may contribute to image quality issues.
