    Taskalfa 520i blur trail edge

    I have a customer with a TA 520i with half a million copies. When using 30# paper and delivering to the finisher there is a blur 25-30 mm from the trail edge. Fuser has been replaced, Firmware is up to date. No blur if delivered to the internal tray and no blur on 20# paper.

    any ideas?

      Broken and missing spring from the end of the transfer roller. Usually the drive end.

          Also check where the transfer roller goes, the plastic film on the door. For rips or lifting edges. It has to be smooth to the touch.

              30# bond or cover or index or points or book?
              GSM is what I look at, to get around all that obscurity. =^..^=
              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  We're assuming you've tried different paper settings? Looks like it's buckling at the fuser. Fuser speed changes when paper type changes.

                          try replacing the drum entry guide. its the metal one that comes in the PM kit. I have had several do just that but it shows on 20 pound paper too.
