    customer has 2 of these one had gray back round and streaks i believe the developer unit so i swaped dv units and the streaks and gray went away so i confirmed the dv unit needed replaced
    I installed a new dv unit went to sys maint chose new developer and followed the prompt to reboot the machine it started running and said adding toner no problem right except its just running and running saying adding toner this is a brand new oem dv unit and toner I read the book which doesnt say much about replacing the dv unit then I came across a toner add option it says sys maint choose developer hit start then hit yes (left arrow) and toner will rapidly add i havent gone back yet to do the toner add do you guys think that will work ordi i do something wrong this should have been an easy install but nooo i need your input

    These take a long time to fill the DV unit. Did you let it run or did you turn it off after a while?

      Ha! "rapidly"!! It takes about 15 minutes. These machines are mono-component, and the developing unit comes empty, so it will suck up 2/3 of a full toner cartridge. No, it sounds like you did it just right. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        the machine isn't going to be able to function until it has completed the developer fill cycle. if you restart, it will only begin the cycle from the start.

          I told them i had to talk with you guys and I left it running and told them to leave it on and it might work on its own ill be there in the morning and see
